THE SPACE
We have built and designed this house (180 sqm house on a 4000 sqm land) in 2016 in collaboration with local Greek architects. We have put great care into the design—both interior and exterior—in order to make the house as cosy, welcoming, enjoyable, minimalist and comfortable as possible, with a hand-picked selection of elegant vintage furniture from 20th century.
The property's main house features a vast open kitchen / dining room / living space, along with two bedrooms and two bathrooms. A separate guest-house offers a third bedroom and bathroom which provides much intimacy.
Each bedroom has been designed to respect the privacy of its guests—separated from each other, and the bathrooms are all en-suite. They all have been arranged the same way so they are no jealously amongst guests. The only thing that changes is the decoration and the master bedroom which is slightly a bit bigger. Other than that, all our bedrooms feature COCO-MAT four-layer beds (2 matresses, 2 toppers) and two different type of pillows (to suit your neck and head weight), made in Greece with natural fabrics. We believe that when on vacation you deserve the best to make the most of your sleep and rest.
The three bedrooms can be configured according to your needs. Each bedroom features two 90x200 beds, which are combined with a double topper to form a king size bed (180x200 cm) . So if you wish to separate the beds, we can just remove the top layers for example.
In the bathrooms, natural and organic beauty amenities featuring Olive Oil as the main ingredient, from the Greek brand Zealots will be at your disposal. We also propose fresh towels changed once a week as well as the bed linen.
For film aficionados, we have equipped our living room with a video projector and a great selection of DVDs! Music lovers will surely appreciate our hi-fi sound system as well as our selection of CD's and vinyls and our turntable! And as food lovers, we have designed the kitchen to make it as pleasurable and convenient to cook, eat and share meals, both inside and outside. The kitchen is well equipped (with an oven, an induction hub, a fridge, a dishwasher, an automatic expresso machine (with coffee beans grinding), a boiler, a set of pots and pans and small kitchen robots). We provide Illy Coffee, a vast selection of spices and all you may need to make delicious meals. As foodies, we also have an outside kitchen with a small fridge, a Teppanyaki (Japanese plancha) and a microwave.
In the summer, days are mostly spent outside. The outside terrace is around 200 sqm mostly surrounding the pool. On the main terrasse, one big pergola overlooks the main table. A second pergola is dedicated to the lounge with three sets of outside mattresses (ideal for naps and reading in the shade). Another hang out area can be found alongside a vast almond tree with benches and comfy mattresses protected by a small tent. 4 sun beds and mattresses lie alongside the pool. We provide pool towels and foutas. Pool is cleaned twice a week.
The roof top is an amazing space to contemplate the view on the valley, the island of Antiparos, the sea and the mountain behind the house, and of course the stars at night!
It’s our goal to make our guests feel at home and have the best vacation possible. Everything was designed to make the house both comfortable and aesthetically appealing. During your stay, we are available on whats app or by email. Prior to your arrival, we make whats app groups to make the final arrangements and organize your arrival the best possible way (we often make taverna reservation or organize food delivery for the first night) so you can enjoy Maison Kamari as much as we do !
THE AREA
The house is part of the Kamari settlement, a mix of traditional Cycladic island feel and the charm of the Greek countryside. It's 5 minutes away from the Farangas Bay and the elegant fishing village of Aliki, where you'll find the best bakery, and butcher on the island, along with fish and vegetables stores and fine traditional taverns and beaches. One of our favorite spots on the island… What we love about Paros and Antiparos is that you can discover a new beach everyday and explore the island by car, by motorcycle or by boat very easily ! And if you are a kite surf amateur, Paros is also a hot spot !
